Here, we’ll look at two of the many folk music traditions found across Europe, from its Eastern to its Western reaches. Though this means missing out on a huge range of fantastic traditional music from places like Greece, Bulgaria, the Alps, Scandinavia and Brittany, hopefully I’ve picked two examples that will inspire students to look further into the rich musical heritage of our own continent and make links with music they know
