Music & Drama Education Awards 2020

Awards Expo
In response to the growth of the Music & Drama Education Expo, we have decided to expand the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence. This year, the awards will be open to both music and drama educators, mirroring the make-up of the Expo, and we want to encourage as many nominations as possible. The 2020 awards will take place on the evening of 4 March, following the first day of the Expo, at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

The shortlist is drawn up by the editors of Music Teacher and Drama & Theatre (previously known as Teaching Drama). In the shortlisting process, the editors are looking for entries that offer something of note to music and/or drama education and which clearly demonstrate how they fit the remit of the category.

There is no particular advantage in having numerous nominations, and shortlisted nominations will be invited to supply additional information about themselves, their product or resource which is used to better inform the judging panel.

For the categories concerning resources, these must have been released on or after 1 September 2018. With the awards for inititatives, these do not need to be new but some part must have taken place on or after 1 September 2018.

For full details on the award criteria and information on how to apply, please visit musicdramaedawards.com. Nominations close on 18 October and the shortlist will be announced before Christmas.
