BBC Ten Pieces debuts on CBBC for their musical Get Creative Week

In partnership with BBC Bitesize Learning Zone, CBBC is screening five days of classical music programmes from 24 May for their Get Creative Week, including debut broadcasts of BBC Ten Pieces.

Designed for ages 7–14 to broaden their classical music knowledge, the week will showcase Ten Pieces projects with music spanning five different themes: Nature, Home, Around the World, Dance and Back in Time.

The Ten Pieces broadcasts will be showcasing a plethora of classical music, exploring the stories behind the artists and introducing composers such as Ravi Shankar, Hans Zimmer, Grażyna Bacewicz, Brahms and Gershwin.

Led by BBC Learning and the BBC Orchestras and Choirs, Ten Pieces is an initiative for schools that invites children to be creative and develop their understanding of the world of classical music. The project has adapted and grown this year to reflect the needs of teachers and parents, joining forces with CBBC to broaden their reach.
