Featuring leading organisations, the Music Industry Careers Fest is an opportunity for young people to find out more about the industry and connect with professionals and educational institutions. The annual event takes place in Liverpool, hosted by Philharmonic Hall.

Exhibitors this year include Universal Music, Spotify, UK Music, AdLib, PLASA and Revere Arts, as well as LIPA, LIMF Academy, RNCM, City of Liverpool College, Edge Hill University, University of Liverpool, and WaterBear College of Music. All will form part of a Music Careers Marketplace.

In addition there will be workshops and demonstrations, and talks such as ‘Careers in the Music Recording Industry’, led by the Head of Artist & Industry Partnerships at Spotify, ‘Careers in Classical Music’, presented by DECCA Records, and ‘Social Media Planning in the Music Industry’, led by the CEO of The WRD.

The keynote address is by Jonny Abraham, composer, orchestral musician, and member of the band Public Service Broadcasting.

Liverpool Philharmonic, the venue for Careers Fest 2025, is one of the UK’s leading concert halls and music organisations. The home to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic orchestra and choir, it runs extensive learning and community engagement programmes involving 60,000 young people each year.

Youth Company Producer at Liverpool Philharmonic, Jordan Armstrong, said: ‘Working in the music industry is incredibly fulfilling but knowing where to start can feel very overwhelming. We’re delighted that so many voices from leading music organisations have joined us to share their invaluable insight and expertise. The event will cover a broad spectrum of career opportunities including performing, composing, songwriting, sound engineering, technical and production roles, music journalism, recording, management and much more.’

Visitors can receive advice on networking, CVs, and presenting yourself in the best light for a career in music.

Tickets to Careers Fest 2025 cost £10 for the entire day. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult (who must purchase their own ticket).
